Connecting with Tomorrow’s Tech Leaders in Panama

Written by | May 15, 2025

On May 14, 2025, as part of our ongoing collaboration efforts with local institutions in Panama, I had the opportunity to represent AgilityFeat at the first 2025 Job Fair organized by the Faculty of Computer Systems Engineering at the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (UTP). The event was held at UTP’s main campus and brought together a wide range of students, professionals, and companies, all eager to explore employment opportunities.

This event was especially valuable to us because of the enthusiasm and engagement we saw from the University community in Panama. Our participation at the fair gave us a direct channel to connect with students from the final years of their programs who are actively looking for job opportunities. It was encouraging to see how many of them were already familiar with our work, or had even heard of us through classmates or professors.

The booth traffic was non-stop!

Throughout the day, the traffic to our booth was non-stop. We estimate that around 300 visitors stopped by to learn more about what we do. A few recognized us from previous events or had already applied to one of our job openings. We’re still receiving CVs and are now going through each one carefully to identify promising candidates. It’s an exciting time to see so much talent eager to contribute and grow.

In addition to students, several recent graduates and early-career professionals also visited our booth. Many were particularly drawn to the kinds of projects we develop, especially our focus on real-time communications through our subsidiary WebRTC.ventures, AI, and our distributed, remote-first culture.

Events like this one are part of a broader strategy we’ve been building with the University in Panama over the last few years. We’re proud of the relationship we’ve cultivated with the University, and it goes beyond just recruiting. We regularly participate in events, provide professional-level talks to students, and maintain an active internship program that gives young professionals hands-on experience on real-world projects.

Check out this video for some highlights from the event!

A true entrypoint into the professional world

Our internship program is a true entry point into the professional world. Interns are assigned real tasks, mentored by experienced engineers, and gradually integrated into the same workflows we use across our global projects. It’s a win-win approach: students gain experience and exposure, and we get the opportunity to work with fresh talent and develop future team members.

We believe in building long-term partnerships that go beyond the booth at a career fair. Our goal is to support the growth of local Panamanian talent.

We’ve had success in similar events in the past, and we’re always excited to meet new people who are eager to make an impact. If you’re interested in learning more about our current job opportunities, please visit our websites at AgilityFeat.com and WebRTC.ventures. We’d love to hear from you!
